2013 NSU Fundraiser

 

 

Our successful 2013 Needham Steps Up event raised $20,000 to support mentoring in Needham. The funds will be used to expand and increase the sustainability of the Steps to Success program by adding five new freshmen. Held in a new location at the Needham Golf Club, the event brought together community members for cocktails, a light dinner, silent auction, and inspiring words about Steps to Success.  During the evening, NSU awarded the second annual Stepping Up for Education Award to Needham Youth Services, directed by Jon Mattleman, for its tireless efforts to provide quality family, youth and community programs promoting wellness and resiliency.  In addition to Jon’s comments, a recent mentee and her mentor stirred those present by sharing their experiences in the program and its impact on them.
